Welfare Innovation Project

Principal Investigator: Kerstin Fischer
Project Coordinator: Leon Bodenhagen

Purpose

The Welfare Innovation Project concerns welfare innovation with the aim to observe the workflow at Odense University Hospital to determine those processes for which technological innovation could be useful. The long term goal is to alleviate the impact of demographic change.

One of Sønderborg’s contributions was to train the student observers. For that purpose, we iteratively designed the trainings, observation guidelines and a template for the observation reports.

Downloads

The material for the trainings of student observers, as well as guidelines for observations and a template for the observation reports can be downloaded here for anyone interested in similar work.

Trainings

The training is available in:  DanishEnglishGerman

The purpose of the training is to give the participants an introduction on how to conduct ethnographic observations. The training is not specific for this project, but should be applicable to other projects as well.

Booklet

This booklet is available in: Danish

It is designed as a help for the observers during their observations, so they know what should be reported. For practical reasons it is in B5-format, which is ideal for being carried around.

Reporting template

The reporting template is available in: Danish

This reporting template is created with the purpose of facilitating the comparison of all the collected data and to categorise them afterwards.

Flyer

The flyer is available in: Danish, English

This flyer was designed with the purpose of providing some information about the project, but without giving away too much that could affect the observations.
