On the occasion of Niels Christian Hvidt's appointment as Professor of spiritual care with particular focus on cancer at the Research Unit of General Practice, Department of Public Health, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), the Faculty of Health Sciences hereby invites you to attend an inaugural seminar with the following program:

14.00-14.05:     Introduction and welcome

14.55-15.45:     “Why Spirituality is Difficult for Westerners: Understanding spirituality and religion in a healthcare context" 

John Swinton, Professor, School of Divinity, History and Philosophy, University of Aberdeen, Scotland 

15.45-16.00:     Discussion and closing of the seminar

After the seminar, a reception will be held in the Café, J.B. Winsloews Vej 25, ground floor.

Driving directions and Parking

The rules that apply to parking in the car park by the university buildings, J. B. Winsløws Vej 15 – 25, DK-5000 C, require visitors arriving by car to enter the registration number of their vehicle on the iPad in the hall at J.B. Winsløws Vej 25, as soon as they arrive. Some parking areas require a parking disc ; please check the individual parking signs. If you do not register your car, you may get a parking fine.
