Thursday 7th of March 2024 - Phosphorus: its importance to the environment and circular economy

Location: Riddel Hall (185 Stranmillis Road, Belfast, BT9 5EE).
Time: Registration opens at 08.30 with the conference closing at 17.30. 
Cost: £50 per person including lunch.

Speakers will be from both academia and industry, and will include presentations on:
1) Phosphorus pollution and its impact on freshwater catchments including Lough Neagh;
2) The development of technologies for phosphorus removal and recovery;
3) Opportunities for the use of recycled phosphorus products in for example fertilisers; and
4) Case studies on the use of recovered phosphorus products.
A range of industry representatives from for example Kemira, Ostara, Yara, Natural World Products Ltd, the farming community and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs will discuss the challenges associated with phosphorus sustainability.
