The Danish Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) Network is open to all persons interested in EBM in Denmark. If you want to join our network, sign up for our newsletter by sending an email to Lasse Østengaard and be invited to future events. The newsletter will be sent out twice a year.

Vælg Klogt/Choosing Wisely (please note: presentation in Danish)

When: 28th of March -  2:00 PM to 2:50 PM

Description in Danish: Susanne Axelsen er formand for Lægevidenskabelige Selskaber (LVS) og leder af Vælg Klogt. Til daglig er hun ledende overlæge på Afd. for Kvindesygdomme og Fødsler på Aarhus Universitetshospital. Vælg Klogt er den danske version af det internationale Choosing Wisely, der er etableret i 30 lande verden over.
I Danmark er Vælg Klogt etableret i et ligeværdigt samarbejde mellem LVS og Danske Patienter og finansieret af Danske Regioner.
Vælg Klogt udvikler anbefalinger til at undgå unødvendige undersøgelser, procedurer og behandlinger i det danske sundhedsvæsen. 
Susanne vil tale om, hvordan vi kan undgå det unødvendige på et evidensbaseret grundlag og ikke mindst, hvordan vi kan omsætte anbefalinger til praksis.

How to maintain quality, integrity and impact of a journal?

When: 16th of May -  1:00 PM to 1:50 PM
Where: Zoom and Odense

Ganesh Acharya has been the Chief Editor of Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica since 2015. During his leadership the journal has transitioned to open access, and the impact factor has risen from around 1.5 to 4.5. He will give a talk on publishing and how to maintain quality when submissions increase.
