The researchers

The iTAPP study is conducted in a collaboration between the Unit of Clinical Alcohol Research and the Research Unit for General Practice, Odense, at the University of Southern Denmark.

On this page you will find a description of the two research units and a brief presentation of the project group and other collaborators.

The Unit of Clinical Alcohol Research

The Unit of Clinical Alcohol Research is organized under the Department of Clinical Research at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). The unit engages in research relevant for the everyday clinical work of alcohol treatment facilities. The aim is to increase treatment efficiency. The research unit collaborates with a large number of alcohol treatment institutions, hospitals, and other facilities. A distinctive feature of the unit’s research is its proximity to practice and the involvement of staff. The unit has a focus on the implementation of results into the daily work in the clinical practice and on improving the quality of alcohol treatment.

The Research Unit for General Practice

The Research Unit for General Practice is organized under the Department of Public Health at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). The unit houses an interdisciplinary environment with collaborations across various research fields. The common goal is to contribute to the improvement and development of the health of patients in the healthcare system, with particular focus on efforts in and around general practice. The research unit is also responsible for the research training program for general practitioners (GPs).
