Project community health nurse Mette Karlsen

I am a nurse and a community health nurse and have worked with infants both in hospitals and municipalities, where I work with both schoolchildren and infants at home.

I trained as a VIPP-SD intervener in 2020, and subsequently helped adapt the method to the Danish healthcare service and with developing and testing VIPP-PUF with the researchers at SDU.

In the healthcare service, I have helped validate the PUF method, and I teach the PUF programme to community health colleagues. In this way, I work to bolster the quality of the detection of potential developmental vulnerabilities early in the child’s life.
