Join the Conference: Mathematics for the Real World 2026

Across borders and disciplines, mathematics continues to shape the technologies, economies, and discoveries of tomorrow. This conference brings together leading minds to explore how applied mathematics drives innovation, connects fields, and creates real-world impact.

Join us for a unique international gathering where researchers, innovators, and decision-makers come together to share insights and advance the role of mathematics in science, technology, and society.

The International Centre for Mathematics in Ukraine (ICMU) and the Centre for Quantum Mathematics (QM) at the University of Southern Denmark are joining forces to host this five-day conference on applied mathematics.

Taking place simultaneously in Kyiv and Odense, the event links two audiences through a live connection—creating a dynamic, cross-border setting for dialogue, collaboration, and exchange.

The programme highlights recent advances in how mathematical methods are shaping science, technology, and economics. Topics include applied probability, cryptography, machine learning, optimization, statistics, and quantum mathematics—illustrating both the breadth and the growing importance of the field.
