Research Unit of Oto Rhino Laryngology (Odense)

Our group works on topics broadly related to hearing aid processing and fitting, speech perception, psychophysics, electrophysiology, and real-world listening outcome. Through laboratory experiments with hearing aid simulators, for example, we investigate the principles behind a given phenomenon or explore new ideas. Through studies with wearable hearing devices in- and outside the lab, we make sure our findings are relevant for audiological practice. Consequently, our research can inform both basic hearing science and the practical treatment of hearing dysfunction. To achieve our goals, we carry out studies with normal-hearing and hearing-impaired participants and collaborate closely with clinical, academic, and industrial partners.
