Most of our research projects originate from clinical situations and can be described as “from bed to bench”. We pursue research related to all phases of the patient journey, that is, from suspecting a disease to treatment, care, and rehabilitation.
Our research team is multidisciplinary and covers all clinical professions. Research results are expected to be generalizable and usable in the clinic. Therefore, external validity and implementation are key values for our research strategy.
The Research Unit of ORL is anchored at both the Department of Clinical Research, University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and the Department of ENT, Head & Neck Surgery and Audiology, Odense University Hospital.
