OPEN is looking to recruit a postdoc

Odense Patient data Explorative Network (OPEN) is looking for a dynamic postdoc in register-based and clinical epidemiological research (37 hours/week).

Research tasks:

You will, in collaboration with OPEN's other employees, be in charge of the further construction and scientific utilization of OPEN's clinical-epidemiological research databases, including the possibility to build similar research resources and perform method development within your field of interest. You are also expected to provide consultative assistance to OPENs clients in epidemiology and register data as well as perform supervisory tasks for PhD programs and Master's theses etc.

Depending on your interests and background, an opportunity for individual competence development is present as well as a possible academic career path related to the University of Southern Denmark.

Expectations of qualification:

You are expected:

  • to have a health professional Master's degree with a PhD-degree in epidemiology
  • to have experience with research related utilization of the Danish health registers
  • to be able to communicate widely and are willing to engage in cooperation with various professional groups
  • actively contribute to the security of the position’s continuation through project-related external financing
