New 5 year funding for OPEN

When OPEN was inaugurated in 2008, OUH allocated DKK 2 million per year for this research initiative until 2012. In 2009, the executive board at OUH decided that OPEN's funding should be increased to DKK 3 million in the period 2009-2012. As a result of the new research strategy for OUH another 1 million has been added to the budget to insure the development of OPEN lab, which will support the Clinical Trial Centre. Thus OPEN's funding is now DKK 4 million annually from OUH's research funding in the period 2013-2017 and at the same time higher performance goals has be set for:
- 100 publications in 2017
- 20 new projects per year in 2017
- 1-2 new adjunct professors annually
In order to achieve the heightened performance goals, OPEN's pro-activity will be increased to attract international researchers and boost the visibility of OPEN's services.
