New PhD-student at OPEN

Majken Munk Brønserud is affiliated with OPEN as a PhD-student with the project: "“PROLUC - Patient reported quality of life in lung cancer patients”.

In 2010, Majken Munk Brønserud received her MSc in Medicine at University of Southern Denmark. Since, she has worked on the Department of Organ Transplantation in Svendborg and Vejle and, since 2012, she has been a specialist registrar at the Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery at Odense University Hospital.

Since December 1st 2014, Majken has been employed as a PhD-student at OPEN under Institute of Clinical Research with the project “PROLUC - Patient reported quality of life in lung cancer patients”. This project is a prospective register study about Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROM) from lung cancer patients. PROM is collected via questionnaires, which is issued to all new lung cancer patients from January 1st 2014 and two years forward. The projects will integrate data from both PROM and Danish Lung Cancer Register (DLCR).

The processing of data will take place in collaboration with OPEN’s data managers. Main Supervisor will be Clinical Associate Professor at OPEN, Erik Jakobsen and the Co-Supervisor will be Professor, Anders Green, also from OPEN.
