Biological analysis of plant and animal tissues as well as identification of species and community descriptors are some of the routine analyses done in the ECO-lab.
The lab is equipped with the cutting-edge analyzers such as SKALAR for nutrients (NH4+, NOx, and PO43-), ion chromatography, ICP (metals, trace metals), spectrophotometers and Malvern Laser for grain size.
The ECO-lab is divided into two sections:
- the wet lab, where small experiments, processing of field samples and microscope for plant and animal identification are performed
- the analytical lab, where all the equipment and analytical machines are located
