Vigorous Intermittent Lifestyle Physical Activity

Completed think aloud testing for our Hverdagspulstoppe (VILPA) app

User involvement matters when developing digital health solutions

In the last week of January 2026, we completed a think-aloud test of the Hverdagspulstoppe app with 9 participants. During the test, participants used the app and shared their thoughts out loud while moving through its different features. This gave us honest and useful feedback about what works well and what can be improved.

The app is designed to support physically inactive women aged 40–65 years in adding short bursts of intense movement into their everyday lives. The overall aim is to help promote physical activity and support the prevention of cardiovascular disease. The app has been developed based on findings from our earlier co-design workshops.

We are very grateful to all participants for their time, engagement, and valuable feedback.

We would also like to thank our collaborators from Citizen Science SDU, Syddansk Sundhedsinnovation, and the Pathverse team for their support with participant recruitment, the think-aloud sessions, and app development.

We now look forward to the next steps in refining and testing the app.
