Nikon Ti2 Widefield (with JOBS)

Introduction:

Nikon Eclipse Ti2 is an inverted widefield microscope with large field of view (25mm), fully motorized stage and two cameras for high resolution fluoroscence imaging and colored brightfield imaging. It also have a precise hardware based autofocus system called Perfect Focus System (PFS). The software has JOBS module, that can help the user to setup more complex and customized imaging workflows.

Applications

  • Widefield epiflourescence microscopy.
  • Widefield (bright-field) transmission microscopy
  • Widefield Color microscopy , for example, for HE stains...
  • Phase contract microscopy.
  • Polarization microscopy
  • Automated Multi-Dimensional acquisition (xyz, time, lambda, magnification, large image acquisition).
  • Easy sample overview/navigation by automated exploration of entire sample.

Specifications:

  • LED-illumination (CoolLED pE-300, UV, blue, green) for epifluorescence excitation. LED diascopic transmission illumination.
  • Kinetix sCMOS camera with 95% quantum efficiency and pixel size  6.5 µm x 6.5 µm pixels for highly efficient and high resolution imaging.
  • Nikon Fi3 color camera
  • Motorized stage for automated/smart sample exploration.
  • Filter cubes: DAPI, FITC, TRITC, CY5.
  • Objectives: 10x/0.45 air, 20x/0.75 air, 60x/1.20 water, 60x/1.40 Oil, 20x/0.40 LWD Ph1.
  • The microscope PC is installed with Nikon NIS-Elements that is also used on other DaMBIC microscopes allowing easy familiarization with the user environment across the different microscopes. Besides basic image acquisition, many applications can be accessed such as large image acquisition, multidimensional imaging (X, Y, Z, time, lambda, multipoint).
