Erik's research interests are primarily centered around biogeochemistry and ecology in coastal sediments following marine restoration by managed realignment, sandcapping and eelgrass transplantation. His focus is on the succession and ecological influence of benthic invertebrates and rooted macrophytes. I am among other things currently involved in the ecological studies in the restored Gyldenstten Coastal Lagoon and restoration of good ecological conditions in Odense Fjord.
