Cancer cells rewire lipid metabolism to support proliferation, survival, and therapy resistance. Our work focuses on understanding how lipid metabolic plasticity enables tumor cells to adapt to nutrient stress and microenvironmental challenges. We investigate pathways involving acyl-CoA metabolism, acyl-CoA-binding proteins (ACBP), and lipid signalling networks in cancer and other malignancies. Through integrated lipidomics, metabolomics, and functional genomics approaches, we examine how lipid flux influences senescence, mitochondrial function, and cell fate decisions. Our goal is to identify metabolic vulnerabilities that can be therapeutically targeted to disrupt cancer cell adaptability.
