Orders of Language & the Epistemology of the Language Sciences

The symposium explores how the distinction between first-order language and second-order language has opened up new language sciences. The symposium will feature many of the figures who have a distinction between two orders of language. Some of the invited speakers are Nigel Love, Talbot Taylor, Stephen Cowley and Chris Hutton.
