The prehospital research unit has a special research interest in pre-hospital treatment. The pre-hospital treatment covers the initial treatment advice in the telephone contact with the central but also the treatment patients receive in ambulances.
The unit consists of research leader and clinical professor Søren Mikkelsen and clinical lecturer Tina Svenstrup Poulsen.
Associate professor and psychologist Lotte Huniche is employed on a part-time basis. Public health graduate Sif Vobbe and philosopher Christina Jørck also hold part-time positions.
Two specialists in anaesthesiology are affiliated with the research unit: research associate professor Anne Craveiro Brøchner, PhD, from the Department of Anaesthesiology at Lillebælt Hospital in Kolding, and research lead and senior consultant Peter Martin Hansen from the Department of Anaesthesiology at Svendborg Hospital. Consultant and clinical Rasmus Peter Jakobsen is also affiliated with the unit.
Currently, two PhD students are employed at the unit: Oliver Beierholm Sørensen and Peter Martin Hansen. Trine Nielsen, Julie Rødsgaard and Signe Amalie Wolthers are based in other research environments, but their projects are also linked to the prehospital research unit.
The prehospital research unit also includes several junior doctors and medical students, including Louise Lind, Anina Miethe, Marianne Winther, Bjarke Kjær Hansen, Skrållan Arndt, Anders Jydby Jørgensen, Malea Benediktsson, Emma Engelhardt, Louise Breum, Johannes Andersen and August Licht, as well as several others affiliated on an ad hoc basis.
