About Thomas Bjørneboe
Thomas Bjørneboe's research focusses on small rodents and their population ecology, and particularly the Hazel dormouse, Yellow-necked mouse and Bank vole. These three species belong to three different families having very different life strategies and adaptations but still they all share the same forest habitat with a huge overlap in food resources.
- My research together with Zenia Henriksdottir Hansen on the Hazel dormouse has developed to be the most intensive research on Hazel dormouse in Denmark based in Svanninge Bjerge with more than 800 nest boxes, checked monthly from May to November. Here individually marked and individual DNA samples make up the core data making detailed populations analyses possible valuable for management and species protection.

Senior Researcher, Thomas Bjørneboe Berg, teach in FF501, BB512, BB844, BB860 and supervise students at all levels on topics covering terrestrial mammals.
