Who are we?

Haematology-Pathology Research Laboratory

At the Haematology–Pathology Research Laboratory, our research focuses on haematological diseases, particularly the molecular heterogeneity of malignant B-cell disorders, including leukaemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma.

Our research has a strong translational focus, aiming to bridge laboratory research and clinical practice. This is reflected in our interdisciplinary research environment, which brings together scientists from both natural science and health science backgrounds.

In addition to conducting our own research projects, we contribute to clinical studies and protocols through specialised laboratory analyses.
We employ a broad range of advanced methods, including short- and long-read sequencing, cell culture, flow cytometry and cell sorting. These approaches allow us to perform detailed molecular and genetic characterisation of cancer cells and their microenvironment.

We collaborate with research groups and research centres at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and Odense University Hospital (OUH). Our partners include the elite research centre, CITCO (Centre for Cellular Immunotherapy of Haematological Cancer Odense) and national and international networks such as the Nordic Lymphoma Group (NLG), Nordic Myeloma Study Group (NMSG) and European LeukemiaNet (ELN)
