The Danish Institute for Advanced Study (DIAS) is thrilled to announce an upcoming keynote lecture by Professor Oscar Marín from King’s College, London, as part of its prestigious seminar series. This series has previously featured world-leading scholars, including several Nobel laureates. 

Professor Marín, FMedSci FRS, is internationally recognized for his pioneering research in brain development, focusing on neuronal migration and cortical development. His work has played a crucial role in advancing our understanding of neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism, schizophrenia, and epilepsy. As the Director of the MRC Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Marín leads cutting-edge research into the genetic mutations that affect brain structure and function, pushing the boundaries of innovation in neuroscience.

His accomplishments have earned him numerous prestigious accolades, including fellowship in both the Royal Society and the Academy of Medical Sciences. He also leads several national and international research consortia dedicated to furthering our understanding of brain disorders.
