In my research, I have focused on studying the effects of non-pharmacological treatments together with optimization, structuring and improving of treatments for patients with headache disorders. My main goal has been to conduct clinically relevant research that benefits both patients and healthcare professionals. For the past two years, I have worked as the primary researcher in a European study that involved participants from specialized headache centers across 10 countries. The objective of this study was to develop comprehensive European recommendations for nursing practices in the treatment of migraine. The outcomes of this study have been compiled into a practical guide intended for use by nurses in their clinical practice.

Effects of non-pharmacological treatments, although valuable in interdisciplinary headache patient care, can be challenging to prove in terms of usability and impact. This is why I am particularly interested in finding ways to provide evidence-based support for non-pharmacological treatment options and streamline their implementation, organization, and structure in clinical settings. Building upon my previous and ongoing research, my agenda is focused on two specific domains that contribute to further development of my specialization in organizing and optimizing nonpharmacological treatments for patients with neurological conditions, particularly those with headache disorders.
