Professor Anders Green affiliated OPEN

Professor, DMSc Anders Green has by the first of August been affiliated OPEN in order to support and develop OPENs epidemiological research.

  Anders Green graduated as MD i 1976 from Odense University. He continued his studies in Odense and received his PhD in Clinical Epidemologi in 1979. In 1983 he became DMSc. In 1993 Anders received his authorisation as Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine and for a period of years he was Professor at the education for Master of Public Health at Aarhus University. Back in 2005 he returned to the University of Southern Denmark and Odense University Hospital as Professor and Senior Hospital Physician in Clinical Epidemiology.

Anders Green has published a large number of scientific publications within the field of Clinical Epidemiology emphasizing diabetics. He has for a number of years been Senior Hospital Physician at Competence Centre South and worked with national clinical quality databases. Anders Green will with his large experience contribuate to OPEN, especialy in the area of database linkage and other clinical epidemiological tools in the utilization of OPENs cohorts. Further more Anders is a ressource for project owners and affiliated researchers to ensure the optimal utilization of the clinical data in OPEN Projects. Parallel to his affiliation to OPEN Anders Green will continue his affiliation to Competence Centre South for National Clinical Databases. Anders will share his time fifty-fifty between the two.
