What is it like to be part of HPF?
Naphatsorn Chontapha, student in Biomedicine
Former ISA student
Current position: Bachelor student in the group
“It has been a great pleasure to become part of the HPF group, where there is a strong spirit of collaboration and a positive atmosphere. As a Biomedicine student, it has been a valuable learning experience to work with patient samples, which has given me a new perspective compared with the BMB laboratory, where the focus is primarily on cell lines and laboratory animals. My 10 ECTS ISA has also provided useful experience in integrating clinical aspects into the project."
Sólja Remisdóttir Veyhe, MSc, PhD
Former Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD student in the group
Current position: Postdoc, Research Department, The National Hospital of the Faroe Islands
“HPF is a place with a strong sense of collaboration and community, where people genuinely support each other and celebrate each other’s successes. You learn a lot – both hands-on and analytically – not only through your own project, but by being part of the group’s work. And if you want, you are quickly given real responsibility. You also gain some truly wonderful colleagues.”
Mia Koldby Blum, MSc
Former ISA, MSc student and research assistant in the group
Current position: Molecular Biologist at the Research Unit at The Department of Hepatology and Gastroenterology, Aarhus University Hospital
" I really enjoyed being part of HPF. Working with patient material gave my projects clear clinical relevance, and I appreciated the trust and support from the group. I can warmly recommend HPF."
Simone Valentin Lehtonen, cand.scient., ph.d.
Former Phd student and Postdoctoral researcher in the group
Current position: Molecular biologist, Department of Genomic Medicine, Diagnostic Center, Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet
“At HPF, you quickly become an important part of an ambitious research group with an open, positive, and relaxed culture—where new ideas are encouraged and support is readily available when challenges arise. During my time at HPF, I developed tremendously, both professionally and on a personal level, and I learned that the best results are achieved through strong collaboration, where different competences and perspectives come into play.”
