Citizen Science projects are an integrated and important part of the Ecology research at Department of Biology. We are members of both the Citizen Science network at SDU and the national Danish Citizen Science network. Our Citizen Science projects are performed in cooperation with citizens, primary schools, high schools, and associations and are either independent Citizen Science projects or an integrated part of other research projects. The Citizen Science themes are many. For example, the project “Find a lake” in cooperation with citizens, primary schools, high schools and libraries, studies in stormwater ponds with high schools and utility companies, transplantation of eelgrass in Vejle Fjord, registration of Jelly Fish’s and projects in cooperation with fishermen’s in the project “New Danish lakes”. Beyond that we are participating with supervision in the SDU Citizen Science Talent Program.
