I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemistry from C. S. J. M. University, Kanpur, India. Motivated by a strong interest in chemical sciences, I qualified in 2017 for the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam in Chemical Sciences, achieving an All India Rank of 197. In the same year, I secured an All India Rank of 52 in the UGC-JRF (University Grants Commission – Junior Research Fellowship) exam.

My research journey began in 2017 when I started my Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, under the guidance of Prof. Ramesh K. Metre. During my doctoral studies, I focused on the design and synthesis of organotin-based molecular materials, specifically targeting their potential application in resistive switching devices. This work combined synthetic chemistry and materials science, contributing to a deeper understanding of structure–property relationships in molecular electronic materials. In recognition of the significance and impact of my doctoral research, I was honored with the prestigious C. V. Raman Best Thesis Award in 2022.

In 2023, I moved to Sweden to begin my first postdoctoral position at Lund University with Prof. Kenneth Wärnmark. There, I worked on the synthesis of cyclometalated iron–NHC (N-heterocyclic carbene) complexes, exploring their potential as photosensitizers—particularly as cost-effective and sustainable alternatives to precious metal-based systems.

Since February 2025, I have been part of the Wegeberg Research Group, working with Prof. Christina Wegeberg. My current research focuses on studying the photophysical properties of manganese complexes, aiming to understand their light-interaction mechanisms and explore their potential applications in photocatalysis and energy conversion.
