Centre for Global Health

Our mission

At the SDU Centre for Global Health, our mission is to advance global health through interdisciplinary research, collaboration and capacity building. Guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we work to promote health equity, strengthen health systems, and address the complex challenges that shape health outcomes worldwide.

Our research covers critical areas such as gender equity, sexual reproductive health, migrant and refugee health, environmental and work-related diseases, pollution, and measuring the burden of disease. We examine the implementation and real-world impact of health interventions, including immunisation programmes and communicable disease control strategies. We also study the public health landscape and determinants of health across borders, providing insights into how policies and social factors affect health on a global scale. Our work also extends to endocrinology and other key areas that influence global well-being.

We aim to fill knowledge gaps and advance evidence-based solutions that improve health policy and practice by fostering strong partnerships and supporting global and public health students. We are committed to building a healthier, more equitable world for all.
