Goals:
The aspiration of the network is to understand adolescent spinal pain in a broader context of health and wellbeing. This shall help us to design and implement early interventions, including personalized treatment as well as integrated models of care and prevention in schools and clinical settings. Stakeholder involvement and digital solutions will be imperative for these developments. Ultimately, this will reduce the burden of spinal pain for young people, their families and society.
Short-term goals:
- Identify knowledge and knowledge gaps.
- Identify people and ressources.
- Prioritize research questions (short and long term).
- Align research questions with people and resources.
- Establish safe, collaborative and productive ECR training environment.
- Initiate small scale project expoiting existing databases.
- Start drafting grant proposal for long term program.

Long-term goals:
- Build on small-scale projects to secure future funding.
- Expand the network.
- Initiate larger projects.
- Consolidate network for the future.
- High quality research output for maximum societal/clinical impact.
Network governance, leadership, coordination, communication and meeting within the network will be employed to reach the goals. In addition, we will invest in a strong degree of stakeholder involvement.
