Postdoc
Dept. of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Email: nicolajit@bmb.sdu.dk

Nicolaj has been a member of the research group of Lars Grøntved since 2018. His work has focused on circadian dynamics of chromatin remodeling and transcriptional regulation in the liver.

Nicolaj was employed as a PhD fellow in ATLAS from September 2020. His project focused on regulation of spatial compartmentalization of metabolic tasks within the liver. The aim of his project was to investigate the regulation of the chromatin landscape, and associated gene regulatory networks, underlying spatial heterogeneity in the liver using single cell/nuclei-omics, histology, and immunohistochemistry. The hope was to gain further insights in to basic liver biology and potentially paving the way for a better understanding of why different pathologies in the liver hit specific areas.

Nicolaj continued his work in the Grøntved group as a postdoc after successfully defending his PhD thesis.
