Aino Peltonen started with her undergraduate work in Lars Grøntved’s group in 2022 studying the single cell resolution epigenetic changes in the liver of mice in the regression of metabolically associated steatohepatitis (MASH) using computational tools.
In the autumn of 2023 Aino was recruited to Anne Loft’s group as a computational PhD fellow. She will continue working on single cell resolution data and her focus will be in the crosstalk between adipose tissue and liver in obesity and how it affects the development of metabolically associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) as well as the optimization of computational methods used.
