The purpose of the work package is to accelerate the transition to greener transport across the country.
How it is done
- Studies are conducted on how transport habits among children, young people, and commuters can be shifted towards more sustainable and active modes of transport.
- Research is carried out on how the interplay between different modes of transport can reduce the need for private car use.
- Solutions are identified to reduce CO2 emissions from freight transport - both on roads and in cities.
The City of Aarhus is responsible for implementing the work package in collaboration with the Municipality of Høje-Taastrup. The following municipalities are participating in the work package: Hjørring, Høje-Taastrup, Kalundborg, Lyngby-Taarbæk, Mariagerfjord, Næstved, Odsherred, and Randers. Nordjyllands Trafikselskab (NT) is also involved in the work.
