The Faculty of Health Sciences is putting the finishing touches on its new research strategy, and now the ambitions of the research strategy must be implemented, and the vision unfolded. Here, SUND Research Support plays a crucial role.

The five elements of the research strategy: For and With Society, Collaborations, Engagement, Interdisciplinary and Translational Research, and Innovation will be the focus areas in research and funding moving forward. These are effort areas that require good and versatile researcher support.

SUND Research Support is precisely intended to support the entire process from strategic efforts and research ideas, through the financing of research projects and management of the research process with external parties, such as citizens and societal actors, to results and onwards to implementation and ultimately value in society.

- I look forward to working towards this along with the concrete funding work and networking, together with the other employees in the unit and in collaboration with RIO, the other faculties, and the Region of Southern Denmark, says Anne Kathrine Overgaard.

Anne Kathrine has extensive experience in the field, having been instrumental in introducing and establishing the Centre for Citizen Science at SDU, in close collaboration with Deputy Head Thomas Kaarsted from SDU's library. Additionally, she has a unique knowledge of SDU, where she has been employed for 25 years across various faculties and the central administration.

She served as the secretariat head at the Faculty of Science before moving, 14 years ago, to the role of Office Head in Health Sciences. In this position, she has been the central figure in coordinating the construction and move to the faculty’s new premises on Campus Odense, intended to link SDU with the New OUH.
