I graduated as a laboratory technician in 1999 and worked one year at University of Southern Denmark and three years in a private proteomic company, before starting my journey at KMEB in 2003. I assist researchers in their projects mainly within characterization of human, mesenchymal stemcells in type 2 diabetic and osteoporotic patients. My main procedures are isolation and differentiation of stemcells, analysis via western blotting, realtime PCR and stainings.

Concurrently I do my best to keep the lab running at its best – maintaining the equipment, updating our cell- and clinical sample banks and dealing with the administrative work such as ordering and work environment.

As one of the few in the lab, I was born and raised in Odense. I enjoy living close to both nature and the city together with my husband and our two girls. My spare time is spent on my family, friends, outdoor training and a bit of handcrafting. I enjoy working in a very dynamic group of people from many different cultures, it definitely keeps me on my toes!
