Educated as a medical doctor i January 2015 I worked as a clinician for three and a half years before starting as a clinical assistant working with human bone cells.

For the last two years I've studied the effects of incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP) and GLP-1 receptor agonists on human osteoclasts and osteoblasts. Since September 2019 I've been employed as a PhD student continuing to explore this topic with Morten Frost as my main supervisor. I've spent 3 months in Birmingham in the end of 2019 working with Dr Carolin Gorvin at University of Birmingham, UK, focusing on the interactions between incretin hormones and human osteoclasts investigating changes in cAMP and iCa2+ levels in respons to GLP-1 or GIP. My PhD is due to end August 2022 and will also include a placebo-controlled clinical trial, investigating the effects of Semaglutid, a GLP-1 receptor agonist, on bone strength, bone mass density and bone microarchitecture in patients with increased risk of bone fractures.

Most of my spare time is used with my family except when my favorite football team, Liverpool, is playing. I also enjoy long runs and have a weakness for Marabou chocolate.
