I graduated as a medical doctor in June 2021. I have worked as a clinician for almost 2 years before I started as a clinical assistant at KMEB in May 2023. Since September 2023, I have been employed as a PhD student with Morten Frost as my main supervisor.

In 2020-2021, I undertook an undergraduate research year in collaboration with KMEB. I worked with patients with the rare genetic disease called Familial Multiple Lipomatosis. Within this project, I gained experience in cellular studies of mesenchymal stem cells derived from both bone marrow and adipose tissue.

My PhD studies focus on the effects of the incretin hormone GLP-1 and the GLP-1 receptor agonist, semaglutide, on bone in both healthy individuals and Type 2 diabetic patients. The PhD project will include a randomized placebo-controlled clinical trial investigating the effect of oral Semaglutide on bone strength, bone mass, and bone microarchitecture in patients with Type 2 diabetes and an increased risk of bone fractures.

In my spare time, I mostly spend time with family and friends. I also enjoy taking my racing bike for a long ride in nature.
