The aim of my research is to build a theoretical model for describing the photo-physical properties of metal complexes used in anti-cancer drugs. This incorporates investigation of how to model relativistic effects and their importance. Both traditional molecular mechanical (MM) methods and polarisable embedding (PE) will be used for examining complexes and their adducts with biomolecules.
