In my bachelor project I am using QM/MM methods to investigate the mechanism for a enzyme, which catalyses a reaction with multiple radical intermediates. The idea is to investigate each step in order to understand the overall mechanism of the enzyme. The enzyme is reported to give high enantioselective yields, meaning it could potentially be useful as a platform in medicinal chemistry.
