Football as Medicine – Physiological Perspectives

Course description

The aim of the course is to give PhD students more in-depths knowledge on all the recent research on the fitness and health effects of recreational football in studies for participants across the lifespan, including studies on the cardiovascular, metabolic and musculoskeletal effects related to prevention and treatment of lifestyle diseases. A series of relevant methodologies will be presented and discussed in relation to future studies. In a practical workshop the students will obtain useful knowledge on how to design and conduct training studies in the area of football and health.

The course will indeed give the students the possibility to establish a network with other PhD students and experts in their field. In a practical workshop the students will get more practical experience on how to prepare manuscripts for publication. Last, but not least, the students will be given the opportunity to present their own PhD projects and to receive feedback on their research both from the other participants as well as the lecturers.

Price

The course is free of charge for PhD students enrolled in Universities that have joined the "Open market agreement".

The course fee for other participants is DKK 7,748.
