On the occasion of Greg Kawchuk’s and Kieran O’Sullivan’s affiliations as adjunct professors at the Medical Spinal Research Unit, Department of Regional Health Research, University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and at the Spine Centre of Southern Denmark, the Faculty of Health Sciences, SDU, hereby invites you to attend an inaugural seminar with the following program:

13.00-13.05: Introduction and welcome

Kim Houlind, Head of the Department, Department of Regional Health Research, SDU

13.05-13.30: “Strengthening research in spinal pain – a common enigma”

Søren O’Neill, Clinical Associate Professor, Head of Research, Department of Regional Health Research, SDU and Medical Spinal Research Unit, Spine Centre of Southern Denmark

13.30-14.10: “Low back pain rehabilitation: Can – or should - ‘physical’ rehabilitation professionals address ‘nonphysical’ factors"

Kieran O’Sullivan, Professor of Physiotherapy, Course Director MSc in Physiotherapy, University of Limerick, Ireland

14.10-14.50: “Spinal stiffness: a potential biomarker in low back pain”

Greg Kawchuk, Professor at Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine – Physical Therapy, University of Alberta, Canada

14.50-15.00: Discussion and closing of the seminar

Kim Houlind, Head of the Department, Department of Regional Health Research, University of  Southern Denmark

After the seminar, a reception will be held in the Auditorium Lounge at Kolding Hospital.
