The Bitten and Mads Clausen Foundation supports Innovation Lab with 1 mill. DKK

Thanks to a generous donation by the Bitten and Mads Clausen Foundation, the section SDU Innovation and Design Engineering of the Mads Clausen Institute, SDU, can now implement a well-designed innovation lab.

The MCI Innovation Lab is a space that fosters innovation for professionals, researchers and students alike. The concept facilitates the innovation process in a unique setting. This is achieved by focusing on stages of the innovation process, namely ideation, product and process development, and related business aspects. These focal areas are physically reproduced in the lab to allow a tangible innovation experience, which will enhance teaching, research, and problem-solving related to practice.

Open to industry
Entrepreneurs and professionals from any industrial background will benefit from workshops in the respective areas of the lab and can utilize the Innovation Lab and the competences of SDU Innovation and Design Engineering to foster their innovation efforts.

The innovation lab will be also funded by the SPICE Interreg.-project. It will be fully installed in May 2016 and SDU Innovation and Design Engineering looks forward to welcoming students, researchers and professionals to accelerate innovation through a unique and exciting approach.
