The Head of SDU's Department of Marketing & Management has been employed.

Associate Professor Jeanette Lemmergaard continues as Head of Department of Marketing & Management, where she has been Head of Department since June 2013.

The Department has 90 employees and has activities in Odense and Slagelse.

Research, education and cooperation at the highest level

Jeanette Lemmergaard looks forward to continuing the work as Head of Department:

“It is a great privilege to continue as Head of Department of Marketing & Management. On behalf of the Department I have high ambitions for us to continue to strive for the highest standards in education, research and collaboration with external partners. These goals can only be achieved in interaction with the rest of the Faculty and SDU in general.  I look forward to working with the Department’s Management Team to ensure the continued development of a well-functioning and inspiring context for our colleagues and also an inspiring study and learning environment for our students,” she says and continues:

“External change presents challenges, but also new opportunities. Good solutions require co-operation around essential processes and decisions. It is my ambition that all the talent and ability in the Department and its core principles are enhanced through present, focused and attentive leadership. We will endeavour to challenge all colleagues to reach their full potential and will fully support them in taking that responsibility.”

Has set a clear and ambitious direction for the department

Nikolaj Malchow-Møller, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, welcomes the fact that Jeanette Lemmergaard is also part of the Faculty’s management team and development in the future:

In the last five years, Jeanette Lemmergaard has proven her ability to lead the department through difficult times with mergers and cutbacks, and she has set a clear and ambitious strategic direction for the department in the future with an increased focus on external funding, relevant part-time programmes and talent management. Likewise, Jeanette Lemmergaard has contributed substantially to the joint strategic development of the Faculty, cooperating closely with her colleagues in the other departments and the administration. She has over the last couple of years become a key player in several of the joint developments at the Faculty such as the leadership development programme at Business and Social Sciences and our AACSB accreditation process,” says Dean Nikolaj Malchow-Møller.
