Minister of Higher Education and Science Ulla Tørnæs and Minister of Transport and Building Hans Christian Schmidt announced Denmark's New Drone Strategy at SDU on 23 September 2016.
The Danish Ministers were welcomed by Vice-Chancellor Henrik Dam, Dean Henrik Bindslev and Head of SDU UAS Center Brad Beach.
The strategy was delivered to Ulla Tørnæs by a flying drone controlled by students from the Specialization in Drone Technology Kristian Terkildsen and Jes Jepsen.

The event was also an opportunity for the politicians to meet researchers, students and entrepreneurs within drone technology.
