Kerstin Fischer is Professor for Language and Technology Interaction and Director of the Human-Robot Interaction Lab at SDU in Sonderborg.

Kerstin brings her background in linguistics, communication and multimodal interaction analysis to the study of behavior change, persuasive technology and communication design. She uses a broad range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies to study people's behavior. One area of her research concerns the use of robots as a means to make people adopt novel, more sustainable behaviors. 

Kerstin is also member of the Green Alsion Initiative, where she organizes the annual Behavior Change Challenge, a student competition for the reduction of resource consumption (
