Fees and funding

Before submitting your application, you of course want to know about the financial aspects of studying at SDU. Find out about the most important costs to consider and which of them applies to you.

 

Which fees apply to you?

Full degree or exchange student - EU/EEA

  • No fees

Guest student - EU/EEA 

Full degree Bachelor's student - non EU/EEA

Full degree Master's student - non EU/EEA

Exchange student - non EU/EEA

  • Fees related to residence permit*

Guest student - non EU/EEA

*) Fees for resdent permit application are not paid to the University. Please refer to the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration at  www.nyidanmark.dk for more information about the proces. You may also be required to pay a fee to the consulate and/or VFS Global centre, if applying for residence from outside of Denmark.

 

Financial aids

State Education Grant (SU) for EU citizens

SU is a grant to help students with their monthly living costs. 

Normally, you must be a Danish citizen to be entitled to SU. As a foreign citizen, however, you can apply for equal status with Danish citizens if you meet certain specific criteria.

Scholarships for MSc in Engineering students

SDU offers a very limited number of scholarships for non EU/EEA citizens. Only Master’s students in our Engineering programmes at Campus Sønderborg are eligible for a scholarship.
