Social activities

The SDU Engineering and Science Summer School offers a full programme of social and cultural activities where you can reload after teaching hours. Erasmus Student Network Odense are in charge of the social programme their great experience and knowledge is a guarantee for hours of great fun with new friends.

Walking Tour

Location:

Statue on the oposite side of the train station.

Date:

Sunday 4 August 1 pm (tentative)

Description:

Our student guides will show you the most iconic landmarks of Odense and the hot spots for all students. The walking tour lasts approximately 2 hours and will take you on the footsteps of fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen, who is the most famous Odense native.

What to bring:

Comfortable footwear and a rain jacket/umbrella in case of bad weather.

Speed friending

Description:

Where are you from? Why did you choose to come to Denmark? We give you the chance to ask these and many other questions to your course mates. Come for a cozy and informal evening in one of Odense most famous meeting points for students.

Quiz Night

Tuesday 8 August - 8 pm (tentative)

Description:

Join our quiz night to test your knowledge, to get to know each other better, and to win awesome prizes!

What do you need to do to participate?

Form a team with a maximum of 4 people in total and make sure you have the experts of different knowledge fields. The teams will sign up on the spot and all of the team members need a VALID ESNcard!

Cost:

The admission for this event is free. But remember, there are limited spots.

Weekend

After a week filled with hard work and social activities you will have the opportunity to arrange a weekend on your own or with friends to experience some of the unique places in Denmark. You have the opportunity to visit LEGOLAND in Billund, our capital city Copenhagen, exploring the city life in Odense or, e.g. Egeskov Castle, in the south of the island of Funen. The castle is Europe's best preserved Renaissance water castle.

Tired of only singing in the shower?
Then come join us for a night full of singing, laughter and of course to show off your amazing skills with a microphone.
