For Danish students

SDU Students - own study program

As an SDU student applying for the SDU Summer School courses offered by your own study programme you must register for the course by using the Student self-service. You need to register for the course as you would for regular semester courses.

You can apply for the course between May 20th – 30th.

Summer School courses follow the same rules as semester courses. This is important if you change your mind regarding participation, get ill during the course etc.

Students at other Danish institutions

If your own Study Board has approved the course, fill out the application form.

Required documents:

  • A pre-approval from your current university documenting that you can insert the credits into your current study programme at your home university
  • A transcript of records. If you are applying for admission to SDU Summer School courses at Master level, you must hold a Bachelor's degree (or as a minimum have obtained 180 ECTS in your study programme) by the time of application deadline.

It is always a good idea during the planning stage to contact someone from both of the programmes in question, i.e. both the study programme secretary or the academic supervisor for the programme you are enrolled in and the study programme secretariat or the academic supervisor for the subject or course you want to take as a guest student. Your Academic Study Board will only give you credit for a subject/course if its academic content lies within the framework of your curriculum. We recommend that you contact the Study Board in good time, as there may be long delay.

If the subject/course cannot be approved
If the Academic Study Board cannot approve the subject or course as credit-earning, you could consider taking it through the Single Course Programme "Tompladsordningen".
