From 2020, you can no longer follow supplementary courses while beginning your Master's
If you apply for study start on February 1, 2020, or later, you cannot follow supplementary courses during the first semester of the Master's programme. If there are course areas that are not covered by your Bachelor's degree, you can still choose to follow supplementary courses while enrolled in your Bachelor's.
You can follow 10 ECTS while beginning your Master's
If your Bachelor's lacks courses amounting to as much as 10 ECTS to fulfill the requirements, you can be admitted to the programme under the condition that you follow extra, supplementary courses during the first semester of the Master's programme.
This is possible to the extend that SDU offers relevant courses in the given semester.
Follow supplementary courses while enrolled in your Bachelor's
If you lack more than 10 ECTS, you can also choose to follow supplementary courses while still enrolled in your Bachelor's. Please note that the total amount of supplementary courses cannot exceed 30 ECTS.
What supplementary courses are offered at SDU?
The following courses are offered in the fall semester 2018.
How to sign up for supplementary courses
We will sign you up for the courses once you are enrolled
When you apply for admission to the programme we will assess whether you lack one or more courses to fulfill the entry requirements. If you lack 10 ECTS or less, and if you are offered a place in the programme, we will make sure to sign you up. So you don't have to do anything before applying.
Sign up for single courses if you are still doing your Bachelor's
If you want to follow supplementary courses while studying your Bachelor's, you can apply for enrolment to a single course.
Please note that completing relevant supplementary courses, will not guarantee you a study place in the programme. This is due to the fact that we have a limited amount of study places. So you might risk paying for single courses without entering the Master's programme.
What is the cost?
Please not that you have to pay tuition for supplementary courses. They usually belong to 'rate group 1' - the tuition rates can be found here
We cannot consider courses taken between Bachelor's and Master's
If you pass one or more relevant courses after you finish your Bachelor's, we cannot consider the courses in our assessment of your application. We are only able to consider courses that you passed before finishing your Bachelor's - and courses you follow after being conditionally admitted to the programme.
If you already finished your Bachelor's, and you lack more than 10 ECTS, you cannot qualify for the programme.
