Energy systems are based more on electrical systems – the daily consumption, our mobility and industrially by automation. An increasing part of our energy is based on electrical energy which needs to be managed wisely and efficiently. It is in this respect power electronics plays a key role, because the technology efficiently transforms the electrical energy from one form to another.
With the profile, you will receive an advanced knowledge of power electronic devices, power electronic circuits and systems, their design, simulation and development in relation to the requirements for electromagnetic compatibility and methods. You will become a specialist in the development of different components such as converters, inverters, magnetic devices, power supplies, electro-mechanical systems, control systems and relevant scientific methods used to construct mechatronic products and systems.
