The graduate programme in Economics consists of a series of compulsory courses and electives, some offered especially for the programme and others free of choice amongst graduate courses offered at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences. The programme is completed with your master’s thesis.
The compulsory courses ensure you a solid theoretical and methodical foundation.
Furthermore, it is possible to do courses offered at other faculties and universities – both in Denmark and abroad. The Study Board must validate your choices first.
Likewise, it is possible to obtain ECTS credits equivalent to an elective course for a report based on a relevant internship (at an embassy, a ministry or an organization etc.).
The year is divided into two semesters: The autumn semester begins on September 1st and ends just before Christmas with exams in January. The spring semester begins on February 1st and ends around May/with exams in June.
The teaching takes place primarily as lectures and possibly with exercise classes as supplements. Furthermore, individual supervision may occur.
The student is responsible for the purchase books and other educational material.
Each course is completed with an exam. The examination types vary, but can take form as e.g. a written exam, an oral exam, a home assignment or a multiple-choice test. The examination type for the individual course will be stated in the course description.
